One offroad which was over $1500, which renter wasn't happy about, but I told him very clearly that any offroad drops would not be covered even if he purchased insurance. All relatively minor, but a few costing over a thousand dollars in cosmetic damage. I think I've had 7, maybe 8 minor standstill drops. They tend to cover flats for the renter as long as the renter purchases roadside assistance, unbeknownst to most. Found a used one online for cheap, saved the renter money, and still made money myself as well on the repair. These were basically just paid out by Riders Share as a new tire and worked out the bent rim with the renter. I've had three renters have flats, one new rider bent the rim because he kept riding it on the highway. I've caught a renter plug a tire and not tell me. From what I understand my claim rate (beyond ~$300) is roughly 3x the national average.Īs far as tire related claims, I've had a renter deflate knobby tires on my Husqy to less than 10 PSI and then ride on the freeway for a couple hundred miles (abnormal excessive wear). So my rate of claims is probably much higher than others. ![]() I've had quite a few TL's overall, but I catch literally every little thing and I am meticulous with check-in/check-out photos.
